I was told to only use distilled water in my cpap machine.

Can i use boiled tap water in my cpap. I ran out of distilled. The water will still remain hard meaning it contains minerals such as calcium iron magnesium and more. Boiling water will kill microbes but it will not remove minerals or chemical contaminants. Can i use boiled tap water or filtered water instead when filling up my cpap humidifier chamber.
